CNA certification in Indiana skills test

I just got on the floor for my 1st week of clinicals. I can do the written test but I am worried about the skills test. My instructor has given us a set of flash cards with instructions on things like "how to make an unoccupied bed". The problem is, they are teaching us according to how the nursing home does it. They have to do these skills quickly because of the amount of residents they have, so they cut corners. I study the cards and I am left with questions such as why are we washing our hands before we close the door or the fact that we have to make the bed completely one side at a time. I was told that we have to follow the instructions on the card completely for the skills test. Then I am told by the instructor that as long as we come close we should be ok. I want to pass the test. Could you please tell me what I am looking forward to on the skills test? And what, btw, is a toe pleat? I thought these instructors were supposed to teach these things, but apparently I have to find out on my own.
