After many years of nursing I knew what I would and would not tolerate, or what I could deal with as far as politics, policies, paperwork and so on. I turned the tables a little at the interview and once they finished with me, I told them "okay, now I'd like to ask you all a few questions". It was a neat thing. It gave me insight into the work environment as well as letting them know that I knew what I was talking about. I also talked to some of the staff there before making my decision. I wanted to be in control of my own destiny this time. No place is perfect as we all know, but it is possible to find a place that you can deal with and tolerate, good or bad. It's up to you.

Always a good idea to ask questions during an interview. When I'm in an interview with someone, that always raises a red flag (if there are no questions).
