Re: nurses in sc

I have lived and worked in South Carolina for 20 years. I really haven't worked anywhere else. Charleston is where my husband is from, so we moved here years ago and never left. My girls are official GRITS!! (Girls Raised In The South). I am originally from Pennsylvania, though!

My wife and me are starting to think about moving there since the job market here is very poor. My folks own a condo in myrtle beach, and we like the area very much.

Re: nurses in sc

Okay, sorry to not have posted in awhile...distracted with life. Finally found a job I can live with for awhile. It has been an interesting experience at my age, (40 something). After many years of nursing I knew what I would and would not tolerate, or what I could deal with as far as politics, policies, paperwork and so on. I turned the tables a little at the interview and once they finished with me, I told them "okay, now I'd like to ask you all a few questions". It was a neat thing. It gave me insight into the work environment as well as letting them know that I knew what I was talking about. I also talked to some of the staff there before making my decision. I wanted to be in control of my own destiny this time. No place is perfect as we all know, but it is possible to find a place that you can deal with and tolerate, good or bad. It's up to you.
