Hot Bath Good book of poetry, candle light, and a very cold Margarita for me. God it sounds good.

Re: Let It Go???

I have 2 fox terrier dogs who are SOOOO happy and excited to see me get home that any frustrations/grumps about the day soon disappear after a romp around with those guys.

Complan to husband. Then take a shower, put lotion on and get in jammies. Then usually watch some cheesy reality TV to get my mind off things.

Re: Let It Go???

I must be very fortunate to have the job I do. I work in the Neonatal ICU and very rarely feel like I take my work home. It must be because our staffing is very nice (usually 2 pts, sometimes a 1:1 or at the most 3 babies). Not only that, but the babies don't talk back, yeah they cry but usually giving them a binkie or holding them will cure that! Also and most importantly, the families are soo very appreciative of what I/we do in the NICU that I rarely feel burnt out. However, after stressful days such as when a baby dies I usually take a hot bubble bath, have a glass of wine and play some comforting/relaxing music such as classical, that will usually take my woes away!

I get on the internet!

Either that or crack open a beer.

I'm with shortbus, I usually get home have a quick shower to get all the nasties off and then settle with a beer and cruise the net, I am a hockey card collector so I usually look for related topics. Then I jump off and have some family time. I have not gone through the routine of being a full time nurse but being a nursing student it is sometimes just as stressful.

Re: Let It Go???

Fortunately my significant other is also a nurse so I can vent...then I'm OK and can let it go. Cuddle time with strong arms wrapped around me takes care of all!

Re: Let It Go???

I get on the internet, & visit some of my favorite Imaging Newsgroups. I love taking one or two (sometimes more) images & combining them to see what I can come up with. It takes my mind off of everything & really relaxes me.
