Join the Wound, Ostomy, Continence nurses conference in 2010

If you are able to go...... Join The Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurses Society As It Makes History - Yahoo! Finance

Nurses who specialize in wound, ostomy & continence care will have the opportunity to participate in a groundbreaking conference that combines the expertise of two premier wound, ostomy and continence associations, The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses (WOCN) Society and The World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET). The 2010 WOCN/WCET Joint Conference, Universal Focus on Patient Care, scheduled for June 12-16, 2010 in Phoenix, AZ, will highlight the most up-to-date patient care treatments, evidence-based research, and emerging techniques designed to enhance the profession. Educational highlights will include sessions on the yet to be released WOCN Ostomy and Pressure Ulcer Guidelines, transcultural nursing, evaluation of fecal incontinence, CMS updates and many other sessions of interest to nurses practicing in the fields of wound, ostomy and continence throughout the world.

Now open is a Call for Abstracts for 2010. Specialists interested in sharing their research at the Joint Conference with others in the field, are invited to submit an abstract. Submissions are being accepted through November 2, 2009. Abstracts may address case studies, practice innovations, research or international projects. For more information, go to the WOCN Website at www.wocn.org and click on "Call for Abstracts." The abstract site is available through November 2.

WOC Nurse professionals should begin planning for this very special conference. Participants can look forward to expanding their knowledge base, learning from internationally-renowned speakers, and sharing their experiences with a broad network of colleagues from around the world. Conference participants will return to their practices with knowledge that will ultimately improve the lives of their patients. For more information about the conference, visit wocn.jointconference2010.org.
