Welcome!Sounds like you've nailed it down pretty good- with your background, pediatric psych would be great, as well as being a pediatric SANE nurse.
Hello...I have been in law enforcement for the past 10 years. I am a State Criminal Investigator and specialize in child sexual abuse and child fatalities.
I am currently looking for somewhat of a career change. I have been accepted into the Registered Nursing Program at a local college and will be pursing my career as a RN.
MY QUESTION: From those of you who know or may have advice...what areas could I specialize in having my background. I'd like to get my S.A.N.E. (sexual abuse nurse examiner) certification, and possibly work at a pediatric hospital.
I've also considered pediatric psychiatric nursing, to care for victims of abuse.
Any advice would be GREATLY APPRECICATED!!!!
THANKS!
Denise
