    Aprn?

I am thinking of starting a nurse practitioner program but am unsure of what area I want to work in when I'm done. I have mostly worked in teaching facilities and have so many residents that they don't hire nurse practitioners. So what kind of positions have you seen APRN's work in? I'm only familiar with general family practice NP's.

what ever u do stay away from psych nurse practitioner. u will get every hypochondriac that ever existed. i feel sorry for the np on the "high functioning" (borderline personality) unit. he is called constantly because these pt are very soamatic.
