    Talking Question #2

I really need to work on time management skills. I currently work in a rural hospital in Southern Idaho and find it difficult to get charting completed in addition to getting around to all of my patient's. My patient load is usually 4-5 pt's but has been as high as 6 patient at the beginning of my shift (1900). If anyone has helpful hint's or stratigies that will aide me in being on task at all times please reply.

Perhaps you'll be able to add your own tips, too, someday?!

    Wink Re: Question #2

Have you tried writing (journaling) about your goals and frustrations and hopes as you embark on the RN part of your career? Once you journal about it, I would ask "the universe" or whatever entitity YOU feel close to in your spiritual life to HELP you on those topics.

Ask for help with your RN goals (the boards...maybe).
Ask for help with your frustrations.
Ask for help with your hopes (your nursing wishes).

I use this technique myself and I find it empowering and relieving all at the same time. Relieving nursing stress is a topic I enjoy blogging about. You are NOT alone. Access your spiritual life/faith. If you don't have one...YOU'RE GONNA NEED ONE! Keep asking for help.
