The why I chose nsg..... I wanted to be an accountant in high school and I wanted to go to Vandy or anyplace in FL (beach you know) but my parents said they would only pay for someplace with instate fees so I said "then I won't go anyplace so there..my boyfriend works in a factory and makes as much as my parents who have masters degrees ..teacher and social worker" so I went to work in a facator and hated it so stared college locally for accounting then got married and had 3 kids. They were all born in the summer and in the hospital with the first one I saw people rocking the babies in the air conditioned hospital and said I can do that... When the kids were 1,2 & 3 the facatory I was at was putting in computers to operate the machines and did testing to see the learning curve for everyone. We were given 4 hours to complete testing and I did it 100% in 45 minutes (it wasn't that hard just basic stuff) welll they said I needed to do something else ma ybe working in the office instead of on the line (like that would happen I was a little mouthy with the bosses who weren't that bright) but I told my parents and they still had college money put away for me so I started the prereqs for 2 years while still working full time then quit and took nursing classes and some BSN classes. Got my ADN then took a few more classes while now working full time in Peds and finished my BSN now I work L&D...don't rock the babies but see them right away![]()
