Don't stay here in Madison, Wisconsin

Avoid Barrington Place apartments in Madison Wisconsin.

When we moved in, only about half of the furnishings were available/usable (apartment furnished by Barrington Place). The sheets, towels, etc were stained and disgusting. The comforter on the bed had a horrible smell and the bed is the hardest bed we've ever slept on.

Quite a few things were missing or broken (for example, only one glass, three plates, etc) and most of the kitchen furnishings came from the dollar store.

The air conditioner was broken and when we asked to get it fixed the apartment manager asked why we were using our a/c in the cool weather. Well, we were using it because our apartment was over 80 degrees, even with the windows open...

The coffee maker and microwave barely worked, and the first time we tried to use the toaster it caught on fire, throwing a circuit breaker, which in turn made our refrigerator stop working which ruined over 100 dollars worth of groceries. So they sent us a toaster from their basement... a toaster that had been used for years without ever having been cleaned.

All of this happened within 3 days...

Poor service, poor furnishings- beautiful apartments though, I will say that.
