| true story One of my patients was very complimentary about every aspect of his care. He was even amazed that we had such great respect for the dead. I asked him what he meant, and he explained that several times he heard "PEACE TO THE DEAD" over the intercom. I couldn't imagine what he meant until I finally figured what the real message was: "KEYS TO THE DESK." I have remembered and laughed many a time over the years over this, and I am so glad he was comforted by the message maybe he needed to hear. |
