Heading Back to School For More with Kids??

Hi! I'm just curious how easy it is to go back to school once you have started your family. My boyfriend and I will be married soon, but I have the itch to go and become a CRNA. Is it easy to be in school with a family? Or is it better to go to school and wait to start our family?

    Hmm... tough decision.

More and more women are putting off families till later so that they can get started on their careers, become financially independent and pay off student loans before they turn 50 . . . .

More and more women are facing infertility problems that come with trying to have kids, start families later in life. You are the most fertile up to 20-24, after that it sharply declines. My wife at 45 had a 2% chance with In-Vitro.

You need to decide where your priorities are. It is much easier to go to school, establish a career BEFORE kids. It is not impossible to establish one with a family. Depends on your support system, spouse, siblings, child-care.

Hope you can make an educated decision.

It depends on the individual. I started school with 3 kids under 3 yrs old and worked part time, and husband worked 12 hrs per day ofen 7 days per week. I graduated as outstanding nursing student so it can be done. I didn't have to study much and it came pretty easily to me but others have to work much harder. It also depends on how neat you want your house and who's going to do it.
