Thanks for the welcome, cougar! I'm an ED nurse...been a nurse 22 yrs and counting. My kids had grown, and so I ventured into travel nursing for a few years (which I loved!) when my Mom got sick. I stopped traveling for a bit, took a staff job and stayed home to take care of her. I lost her last Spring, and so began my travel journey once more. Currently on contract in South Florida, I'm hoping to stay in Florida for a while if possible, although the jobs are few. This site is a great way to stay in touch, and up to date on things that nursing has to offer.

From what I understand, jobs are a bit scarce right now. There's always peaks and troughs in the profession, though.
