Loving a child is the sweetest of loves
Yet it pales in comparison to the love from above
God gives us these children to have and to hold
Yet some never live to be very old
Oh God it is so hard to lose one so young
Yet even their short lives to us have brung
Memories and tears, a sweet gentle touch
Oh how we love them so much
Now into your hands we place our broken hearts
Only you know our pain in whole and in part
Dear Father in Heaven Your son had to die
And no one among us can really know why
We love you we praise you we cry out for strengths
And we thank you for our child's life no matter the length
