I don't know. Most places here (Oklhoma Nursing Homes) would hire you in a second. They'd hire you and everyone else who wanted to work.
In fact, many places will hire you without certification and pay for you to get certified.
Hello, recieved my certification as a CNA in April 04, and as of yet, cannot find employment as a CNA due to restrictions on experience needed. How am I ever supposed to obtain this experience if no one will hire me with no experience? This situation has been nothing but discouraging, and has made me wonder why I took the extra time and effort to get into this field, if I can't work in the field. Does anyone know of a place other than the typical which I could try? I live in Milwaukee, so there's alot of options out here, although, it seems that all of them have been expired due to the problem afore noted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.![]()

Well please keep us posted, that is weird, you should be able to walk right in, I would think.
That's very discouraging, I hope things change for you. Please keep us posted. Meanwhile, if your short income and just need work, maybe try small options or group homes; some hospitals keep a list of CNA's, RN's ect... willing to do private care in the community you could look into that or maybe try social services, Home care agencies can be a great way to gain experience (if you didn't already try them).
At any rate best wishes, job hunting can be rough.
