    Pediatric nursing question?

    I have a quick question. Are there any special requirements to be a pediatric nurse?

    the ability to realize the very special priviledge that is given to you. the opportunity to care for someone's most precious, prized posession....their kids. other than that...you can learn the pediatric specifics, such as diseases, complicationsm pathways, lab values, etc... Primarily...love kids.

    depends where you are i nthe world as in europe paeds Nurses have a seperate registration and the pre-reg programme is somewhat different - with a much greater proprtion of paeds placements

    Nope, just the basic nursing education. Like ICU, ER, OR, etc you will learn the specifics of the Pediatric specialty once you are on the job.
