Oh, this is toooo much! Kids are gonna see someone carried out dead? Don't they cover the body? And isn't death part of what happens in life anyhow?

Also....I would love to see what will happen when the chief 'protestors' have their loved ones in need.

WOW - This is just another example of how caring for the aged is "somebody elses problem" I wonder how many of those protesting would have an elder relative in their homes. It used to be that grandma or grandpa stayed in family home and when the time came passed with dignity surrounded by family, children included. It's how children learned about life and death. IMHO in would be less harmful for children to learn about death this way than to learn the reality that many elders die alone in a nursing home, hopefully with caring staff nearby, but often with no family present. It's an opportunity for these folks to show their kids how elders can a should be treated with respect and dignity. There might even be opportunities to "Adopt and Grandparent." Sheesh some people!

I agree! Nowadays, there is the 2 income household, and just not enough 'time' to care for elderly relatives. Also, the rehab. issues, etc.....people are living longer, and the resulting outcomes....

I work LTC, and the cost is something else. No wonder so many end up on PA.
