A doctor, a nurse, and an HMO president all die the same day and arrive in heaven.

God says to the doctor, "Why do you deserve to stay in heaven?"

The doctor replies "Well, I am a doctor and I treated the sick all my life."

God smiles at the doctor and declares her work to be good and the doctor is permitted to stay in heaven. God then asks the nurse "Why do you deserve to stay in heaven?"

The nurse says "God, I have done your work all my life. I have cared for the sick, the suffering and the dying."

Again, God smiles and declares his work to be good and the nurse is permitted to stay in heaven. God then turns to the HMO executive and asks him the same question, "Why do you desrve to stay in heaven?"

The HMO president says "Well I was the president of the largest health maintenance organization in the world. We insured millions of people for their healthcare needs."

God thought for a moment and then said "Well, I guess you qualify for a three day stay, but then you'll have to go!"
