I went with an ADN program first then transfered credits for my BSN and let the hospital I was working at pay for the BSN classes. If you let your employeer pay you usually have to agree to work for them for a time after you finish your degree.
I am a 26 yo just starting first year of pre req.s, looks like i wont even be able to think of getting in to nursing program at my community college until 2009! So I am thinking about going to a hospitals program for my associates, it s also not until 2009, but I can get accepted now, then transfer my pre reqs. Does this sound like a good idea?? They are accredited, everything has checked out. Anyone else gone this route? advantages, disadvantages? I have been reading many posts, very helpful!! You guys are awesome! CougarNurse - you in Mo? saw on the state posts. Me too. St louis area but thinking about Southeast Hospitals program as I am origanally from that area and its where all my fam is. TIA to anyone with any suggestions!! Sorry so long!
